Texas RV Parks Have Unique Flavor
There are lots of reasons to visit Texas RV parks; after all, the Lone Star State offers a variety of activities from the panhandle region to the Gulf Coast. One of the reasons so many people go back again and again to Texas on RV trips is because there is a uniqueness to RVing in Texas that can’t be found in most other states.

Because Texas is such a large state, you can spend months at a time going from RV park to RV park, staying a week or more at each, and never tire of the different activities and scenery that abound in this beautiful state. There is more variety in this state than almost anywhere else in the country, and with warm weather year ‘round, you can enjoy Texas RV parks non-stop.

Some of the things that make Texas RV parks special are what make Texas in general special, including:

· Horses! That’s right, if you’re visiting rodeos or other events such as cowboy parades in major cities, some Texas RV parks provide for horses so that visitors can bring their trusty steeds along. Be sure to check around to see if you can hitch your horse trailer to your RV and bring your horses along.

· The spring/fall migratory bird routes. Bird watching is a popular hobby in Texas, and the migratory routes of some of the most majestic birds in North America pass directly through Texas. Thousands of people come by RV every year to camp out and watch for the millions of birds that flock overhead as they head to South America. Some Texas RV parks offer special bird watching packages and events.

· Wildlife. Nowhere else will you be so close to wildlife as you will at Texas RV parks. Deer wandering by, the howl of coyote in the nearby hills in the evening and the rustling of birds in the surrounding trees all contribute to your experience of nature.

Winter Texans Raise the Bar
One of the reasons Texas RV parks are steadily increasing in number is the influx every year of “Winter Texans,” a group of retirees now numbering in the tens of thousands. Winter Texans have permanent residents in the northern states but come to Texas for an average of three and half months every year to escape the coldest months of the year where they live. Most come by RV to stay along the Gulf Coast or the South Texas Plains along the Pacific side of the state.

These Winter Texans are one of the primary reasons that Texas RV parks offer some of the finest facilities in the country. When visitors stay for three months and longer, RV parks have a real incentive to offer amenities that rival those of fine hotels. Many parks in Texas offer features such as banquet facilities, dance halls with regularly scheduled live bands, restaurants & bars, spas, heated swimming pools, tour buses to local attractions and security patrols.
