“Trace Branch Campground” in Buckhorn, Kentucky - was rated: 8
Very nice Corps of Engineers campground on Buckhorn Lake with adjacent boat ramp and recreation area. Hosts were outstanding. Of 40 sites (not counting the host site), 14 have water and electric, the rest are dry/primitive. The road in is 1 1/2 lanes for about 2 miles, with tight curves and some steep hills. Apparently very popular with local fishermen, especially on weekends. Plenty of parking inside the campground for boat trailers. No cell service and very poor TV reception. Would definitely return if we’re in the area again.
