Texas Hell Week (the original, of course) features 8 days of incredible riding and stunning scenery in Texas Hill Country. You can register online, by phone, or by mail. Most riders find that a 39 X 23 low gear is sufficient in most cases, but a 39 X 25 or 39 X 27 will be helpful on some of the climbs. Some short hills have gradients of 20-21 percent, so come prepared! There are numerous cattle guards on the routes, so you will need stout wheels. Road conditions are generally good.
