“Sky City RV Park” in Acoma, New Mexico - was rated: 7
When we pulled up to this park, there was no sign of habitation in the park office, so we read a small sign on the office door which said to call the registration desk at the Casino Hotel for instructions. We did so, and were told to find a space and come down to register. The water faucet at each space is padlocked so you must get a key when you register if you want water. We noticed several people pulling into spaces, then pulling out again, apparently after being told there was no room at the park. However a later knock on our door and several other rigs to confirm who we were informed us that something was amiss with their bookkeeping and they had room after all, but it was too late for those who were refused. Some spaces were never filled that night. Fortunately we had reservations, which I would recommend to anyone using this park. The park is well kept and clean, but spaces are sand and gravel. There is no shade. There are no laundry or restroom facilities. All in all this park seems to be the red headed step child of the nearby casino. The casino has all the creature comforts, including a great buffet, but at this time very few resources are devoted to helping the RV traveler. Although they have full hookups, it is basically just a place to park. […]
