Scrappers - and SCRAPPERS

Hi Everyone:    Well, our family is learning the new meaning of being Scrappers.  If you read my blog last week, you probably sensed a feeling of shock, maybe fear, and certainly anger.    Not exactly the stuff of a cheerful web site about enjoying the great outdoors.  I know.  I'm sorry. I just really wanted to share our story here - partly because many of you are my friends, and I needed your encouragement.  Also because I have a feeling that many of us have faced cancer, beat it, or lost to it… and I was right about that.  I got so many responses from those of you who have been where we are.  It means the world to hear your words!     More important than that, this site, and all of you here, have demonstrated to me what a powerful thing a social network can be.  We have seen victory and defeat in our journeys to embrace a lifestyle on the road; and this site makes the journey less lonely, and the anticipation all the more fun.     So, I'll give you a cheerful update.       We are definitely including RVing in our plans to get Bob through this.  Our summer trip is delayed a bit as we await results of testing, but never before have we craved a trip in the RV like this one.     It's going to be tricky, and I have new appreciation for those who travel handicapped.  We aren't in wheel chairs, but our new cancer regimen certainly […]
