“River Camp USA” in Piney Creek, North Carolina - was rated: 10
I guess it’s all in what you’re looking for, or what your expectations are, but this campground was perfect for me during my stay. No, it’s certainly not a fancy “resorty” type place with cement pads and perfectly landscaped grounds, but I really liked how it was a natural setting - like being in a state/national park but with full hookups. The kayak trip down the river was great and I found the owners and work campers extremely friendly and helpful.
