“Pine Acres Resort” in Upper Lake, California - was rated: 5

Nice setting on a lake: but with a busy, truck-filled highway on the other side, and sound carrying well across the water, only the hearing impaired will enjoy a drink on the lakeside deck. Has gravel sites with trees overhead, no shrubs between sites. The sites I saw had one utility pole for two sites, which I did not notice until I parked my trailer, then had to snake my water and electric connections under my trailer. Too far for my TV cable, but there were only four network channels anyway. No problem with the septic connection, because you must dump on the way out. Some full hookup sites listed in the prices, but the clerk didn’t offer me one so I guess the few people here occupied those sites. Wi-fi: I could connect to the router, but couldn’t use it, even with my directional antenna. Slow Verizon aircard network available. One more thing: $2/day for my small dog. Came to $29 + tax. Not worth the price from my point of view.
