“Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort” in Newport Beach, California - was rated: 1
The nightly rate on our site was $215.00. We chose to stay at this park based on the impressive magazine advertisements. I must say that of all the places we have stayed, this resort does not even place in the top 50%. 1st the beach you see in the picture is a man made lagoon. You are unable to either see or hear the ocean. The sites are pitiful; dirt and very un-leveled. I took pictures of several class A coaches on blocks with the front tires completely in the air. The has three sections and two of the three sections are for permit residents. The registration staff was very impersonal and busy with other tasks. What a beautiful surrounding city to have such a disappointing RV …resort…. They referred to themselves as the Ritz of R.V Resorts. The only Ritz I have ever stayed at was the Ritz Carleton and it is sac-religious to mention this RV park in the same sentence as the real Ritz. That is like referring Kabul Afghanistan to Seattle or Goodwill to Sacks 5th Avenue .
