“Encore Tropical Palms Fun Resort” in Kissimmee, Florida - was rated: 8

The price has gone up recently, but since we had paid in full with our reservation, no mention was made of the increase. This place reminds me of a flat ABC (Branson); that is, very popular (crowded), many activities for everyone, well located, and not an abundance of room. The trick to getting a good spot has always been, show up early, but starting this Sunday (Easter) sites will be assigned when reservations are made. This will take some work at this resort, as there are many, many “super sites” into which we could not fit with our 45′ rig with 4 slides. Our impression of the place was that they are going to have their hands full if they don’t build another pool. They have turned over about one third of the park to “park models” (at $50,000-$70,000 each), but since very few are occupied now, and the pool was so crowded as to not being able to see any concrete or water when we walked by, I’d say this facility will need some work in the future (not to mention other common facilities). It’s clean, neat, and very convenient. A great place to stay if Fort Wilderness is not in your plans or budget.
