  1. I’m not sure I agree with Jim’s comments. My wife and I made a 9600 mile trip from our home in Washington state across the country and back last year. We stayed in many different RV parks (all the way from dry camp to 5-star). Most of the parks we stayed at had 50-amp service and the majority of them also had cable TV hookups. While I will grant that there are quite a few “eastern” parks that are older, there are many that are either newer or have upgraded their facilities to things like 50-amp service, sewer hookup at site, and cable TV. Also, there are quite a few “western” RV parks that only have 30-amp (I’ve seen some with only 20-amp) service. Like almost everything else, there are “goods and bads” in RV parks both on the east coast and on the west coast. Use a book like Trailer Life or Good Sam directories as guidance to the better parks - they aren’t usually very far off.
