“Des Moines West KOA” in Adel, Iowa - was rated: 6
This is a very nice park about 25 miles west of Des Moines and less than 2 miles north of I-80. Most sites are nice, open pull-throughs with full hookup and WI-FI. Since they don’t have cable, we requested a dome satellite friendly site. Unfortunately, the site they gave us had a tree perfectly positioned to block our dome. There were plenty of empty sites that were more open, but I didn’t want the hassle of changing sites, so I stayed in the assigned site. Antenna reception from Des Moines was fine. There is absolutely nothing near the park. The small town of Adel is a couple miles north and even the interstate exchange to the south has no facilities - not even a gas station.
