We chose to start our 2009 camping season a hour from our house. Bear Creek is a older park with smaller sites. Some site are hard to get in due to trees in the way but we enjoyed it!!!! Sites by the water are mostly for tents. A loop is mostly tents […]

“Sugar Mills Ruins Travel Park” in New Smyrna Beach, Florida - was rated: 4

Felt more like a residential park as there were lots of permanents. The sites are very close together and I didn’t have a good first impression after parking our RV. When I walked into my camper, I didn’t realize I had stepped in dog poo and tracked it in. So that initially […]

“Indian Cove” in Joshua Tree National Park, California - was rated: 6

We have visited Joshua Tree National Park several times but had never stayed in this campground before. We have a 32′ motorhome and tow a Subaru Forester. I would not recommend this campground to anyone driving this sort of set-up. The roads inside the campground were extremely rough and had been made […]

“Lazy Acres Campground” in Fayetteville, North Carolina - was rated: 8

Very convenient campground off I-95. Stayed here twice traveling back home. The first visit we stayed because of the major December storm in 2009. We pulled in before dark and was greeted by a friendly park attendant who gave us great information about the campground and surrounding areas. After checking in, […]

“Almond Grove Mobile home & RV Park” in Williams, California - was rated: 3

Our experience was a lot different than the other reviewer’s. This is primarily an old mobile home park with only a few small sites for overnighters. A lot of the permanent units are not well kept up. Our site was very narrow and we didn’t even try to put our slide out. […]

“Bayshore Cove Mobile Home 7 RV Park” in Tarpon Springs, Florida - was rated: 7

Don…t come here looking for a full-service resort. What you get is primarily a park-model situation with only a few really small transient spots. There…s no CATV but the amplified antenna pulls in 30 HDTV digital channels. The owner says there…s no Wi-Fi, but we received someone…s net quite well. Although […]

“Fortuna De Oro RV Park” in Yuma, Arizona - was rated: 10

The rates are $32 + tax/daily or $210 + tax/weekly. They do have monthly and yearly rates. Electric is included in daily and weekly rate. This is a beautiful RV park. Tons of activities to do. Heated pool and spa. Golf course on campground…$11/9 holes. Restaurant…we did not […]

“Outdoor Resorts / Blue Ridge Mountains” in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina - was rated: 9

Although the curving, narrow roads don’t make this resort the easiest to get to, it is worth the trouble. The location in the Blue Ridge Mountains is beautiful and usually breezy during the summer. The resort includes a 9-hole par 3 golf course, and also hosts social events a few times each week. […]
