“Power - Pop RV Stop” in Glenns Ferry, Idaho - was rated: 5

Above rate reflects Passport America with additional charge for 50amp plus tax. I could “see” the free WIFI but was not able to connect. Verizon cellular internet worked fine. Our 50amp outlet provided below minimum voltage (102v) with just two appliances turned on. Due to possibility of low voltage damage, we […]

“Firehole Canyon” in Rock Springs, Wyoming - was rated: 10

All things considered this campground rates a 10. Fifty miles from nowhere. Self service check-in. Water located within 100 ft of site. Grey water dump within 100 ft. No phone or TV service. Paved wide sites. Most were level.

“Bowman RV & Mobile Home Park” in Auburn, California - was rated: 5

Site was a tight fit and not level. Not well suited for overnight. Location makes up for the tight fit. Restaurants and stores nearby. Would use on next trip.

“Hensley Motel & RV” in El Reno, Oklahoma - was rated: 7

A small park located beside a nice Best Western. Friendly check-in complete with a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! All pads are paved, however it would be ugly tight if this park was full. Easy satellite TV, Verizon air-card and cell phone reception. Price paid was for full hookups on […]

“Sierra Village Lodge and RV Park” in Taos, New Mexico - was rated: 9

I love an RV park that makes me feel like I’m actually camping, and this one really does. We received a warm greeting when we arrived, and they worked with us so we could camp side-by-side with our friends. Not only could we build campfires, they even provided the wood! It’s shady, quiet […]

“Village 21 RV Park” in Bryan, Texas - was rated: 7

Older campground; very good staff. Very quiet at night, except in the pull throughs. We were there on a monthly rate.

“Fort Desoto Campground” in Tierra Verde, Florida - was rated: 6

Beautiful park. Friendly staff. Great beach access. Narrrow roads and lots of low hanging branches. Not really big rig friendly no matter what the staff says. Our site totally flooded after an all night rain. I am talking at least 4 inches of water. Probably will not go […]

“Atlanta South RV Resort (formerly KOA)” in Mcdonough, Georgia - was rated: 5

Not a horrible park, but a little run down. Roads were a bit narrow for a big rig. Lots of trees. Site was not level. Probably would not stay there again unless absolutely necessary. Too tight for my taste. Staff was friendly.
