“Townsend Great Smokies KOA (was Little River Village Campground)” in Townsend, Tennessee - was rated: 7

If your family likes trees, this CG will be a good fit. In fact there are so many trees; they create obstacles entering some of the sites. The internal roads are mostly gravel and very narrow. Larger units will have a tough time maneuvering on the roads and entering sites without the […]

“Washington Irving South (COE)” in Sand Springs, Oklahoma - was rated: 5

I have been to quite a few Corps parks and this is one of the worst. It doesn’t have to be this way. Like most Corps parks, this one is located on water, Keystone Lake, with nice views of the lake. Some sites are lakeside. Many of the sites can accommodate […]

“Brannan Island KOA (was called Delta Bay Marina & RV Resort” in Isleton, California - was rated: 3

The spaces were spacious, level and nicely shaded. I guess they aren’t usually very full though, since there was a black widow spider nest in the electric box. It looks like the main business here is the marina across the street and the semi-permanent RVers on the other side of the park. […]

“Scenic Hills RV Park” in Berlin, Ohio - was rated: 9

$70 total for the 3-nights special rate. The second time we’ve stayed at this campground. It’s well maintained and has large sites. There’s no restrooms or showers, so you must be self contained. Easy access to all the shops, cheese plants and wineries in this Amish area of Ohio. Well […]

“Primrose Lane MH & RV Park” in Bryan, Texas - was rated: 1

This is a mobile home park with some very unorganized spaces for RVs. The pull thourghs are sloped so badly that you need blocks under one end of motorhome to get level. The male manager is very rude, and the neighborhood is not one that you want to be in after dark, unless […]

“Red Canyon RV Park” in Panguitch, Utah - was rated: 8

Stayed here one week. This park has gravel roads and sites. Also has a picnic table at each site and a cover. There’s some road noise from 6 AM to 11 PM. It has very, very low water pressure. Cable TV is available: some channels come in clear while others […]

“Peaceful Valley Campground” in Bluff City, Tennessee - was rated: 8

We camped here for the Rhythm & Roots Reunion. The bathroom and shower facilities were clean, roomy, and very private. The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to assist in any way needed. We will stay here again.

“Caspar Beach RV Park” in Mendocino, California - was rated: 7

Campground area is a bit rundown, sites are mainly dirt and gravel although there are some paved sites. Location is hard to find due to lack of signage, and interior roads are narrow as are many of the sites. Beach is close by and the staff was helpful but there are a lot […]

“Raccoon Creek State Park” in Hookstown, Pennsylvania - was rated: 9

Rate was very reasonable, and park personnel are courteous and helpful explaining both park facilities and local travel information. While we could not use a laptop here because there was neither Wi-Fi nor modem, the TV and HDTV reception for several Pittsburgh stations was great, using only the camper’s “boomerang” antenna. Since there […]

“Echo Valley Campground” in Tremont, Pennsylvania - was rated: 5

This was a one night stop over so my rating reflects this. It meet our needs, which was a pull thru site so we did not have to unhook the toad. Other than that, it is not a campground we would use. It just did not look sanitary and the rate is […]
