“Atlantic Oaks Campground” in Eastham, Massachusetts - was rated: 10

Exceptionally clean rest rooms and showers. Impressive fish cleaning station. Security gate. Very friendly staff. Fires allowed (some Cape Cod campgrounds do not allow fires). Overall a very pleasant visit.

“Grand Canyon Williams KOA” in Williams, Arizona - was rated: 9

I think this campground has been reopened or recently renovated. All facilities are new at this writing (pool, office, dog run, utilities connections, cabins). The roads and sites are all rock. The sites are not as level as they might be, and some effort is needed to get level. We were […]

“Rifrafters Campground” in Fayetteville, West Virginia - was rated: 4

This park was not too far off of Rt 19. But entrance was up a hill and departure was a little scary. Owner was friendly and helped us set up without our request. He pretty much gave us our choice of sites, and let us pull into a back in site. […]

“Shenango Valley RV Park” in Hermitage, Pennsylvania - was rated: 10

This is a beautiful park! Clean, beautifully landscaped, wooded entrance. Was an old boy scout camp. Very nice, friendly owners. Lots of seasonals but a few overnighters. Understandable about the seasonals. Nothing really to draw people to this area. But would be a nice place to go on weekends […]

“Pine Acres Resort” in Upper Lake, California - was rated: 5

Nice setting on a lake: but with a busy, truck-filled highway on the other side, and sound carrying well across the water, only the hearing impaired will enjoy a drink on the lakeside deck. Has gravel sites with trees overhead, no shrubs between sites. The sites I saw had one utility pole […]

“Fairfield Lake State Park” in Fairfield, Texas - was rated: 10

This is the prettiest state park we’ve ever stayed in. The sites were surprisingly spacious: Texas style! The lake is warm and serene and we had numerous encounters with wildlife. Can’t wait to go back!

“Washington Pittsburgh SW KOA” in Washington, Pennsylvania - was rated: 7

Not a bad park. Since there are not a lot of choices and we were in town for 2 nights, we tried it. The park was clean: bathrooms were not old but also, were not new. Again, they were at least clean. Owners were friendly. Would stay here again […]

“Action / Los Angeles North KOA was (Fiesta Cypress RV Resort)” in Acton, California - was rated: 7

The owners have worked on upgrades, including new bathhouses, grass in common areas and playgrounds, new fencing, and new utility poles at sites. They have perhaps eliminated some sites to achieve roominess for others, but the site we were in was still a pretty cramped area. It was a very narrow distance between […]

“The Vineyards (formerly Silver Lake Campground)” in Grapevine, Texas - was rated: 6

Our rating of 6 is relative since we believe others might give it as much as an 8 or more. There were just some things about the place that weren’t quite right. The showers were clean, but old, terrible water pressure & shabby. It’s a very pretty park, prettier than most. The management was a […]

“Lake Williams Campground” in Lebanon, Connecticut - was rated: 2

We were not happy with this campground. When I called to inquire about a weekly rate I was told that a week is 6 nights. I told the person that other campgrounds consider a week to be 7 nights. After a couple minutes of discussion she agreed that the rate would be […]
