“Miami Everglades Formerly Miami / Everglades KOA)” in Miami, Florida - was rated: 8

We used this as a stopover on the way to the Keys. We were pleasantly surprised. We arrived very late with no reservations, but found the self check-in very easy. A covered desk area at the front of the office provided pre-filled forms for several suggested sites allowing a selection of 30 […]

“Las Jaibas” in Mazatlan, Sinaloa - was rated: 10

This is a great place. Located a little far out from downtown but there are buses. The beach is across the road. Not as good as the old La Posta and Rosita, but times are changing

“Capitol Reef National Park Fruita Campground” in Torrey, Utah - was rated: 9

There is grass and shade at the sites in this primitive campground. The campground host was friendly, knowledgable about what to see and do in the area. There is a general store available. The historical sites were open for viewing, plus an apple orchard complete with wild deer eating the apples. […]

“Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area” in Ogallala, Nebraska - was rated: 8

Rate shown is for electric site only. Additional charge applies for vehicles. Cons: Frustrating and confusing walk-up registration process; $4 per night per vehicle park fee (annual fee is $15); mosquitoes in the men’s shower but otherwise clean; water availability limited, scattered throughout; no dump station in campground (nearest one is in Martin […]

“Goblin Valley State Park” in Green River, Utah - was rated: 9

For a primitive campground it was very clean. No shade, but each site has a pavilion and wind breaker. A dump station and potable water is available. Pulled our 38-foot rig into our site without a problem. Nice tent sites are also available. The road construction leading to Goblin Valley, […]

“Red Ledge RV Park” in Kanarraville, Utah - was rated: 9

This campground was clean and well kept up. Our center pull-through space didn’t allow for an awning to be put out, but the length allowed us to leave the tow vehicle parked behind without unhooking. We stayed 3 nights to visit close by National Parks within easy driving time. There is shopping in […]

“Misty River Cabins & RV Resort” in Walland, Tennessee - was rated: 5

I was surprised to see such high reviews for this campground. When we arrived it looked like it hadn’t been maintained in a month. The grass was knee high and so on. I was not impressed!

“Pine Ridge RV Campground” in Birch Run, Michigan - was rated: 2

I had called to make a reservation by phone, and was told “We will make room for you”. He would not do a formal reservation, nor did the man I talked to want my name. Upon arrival, very rude women in the office were belligerent about “not having a reservation”. Also made […]

“Wine Country RV Park” in Prosser, Washington - was rated: 3

Unfortunately, I have to rate this park poorly. It has nothing to do with the physical attributes of the park itself. Nice enough, for an overnight stay, or longer if you want to visit the wineries. Cement pads and grass, but spaces pretty close together. The park was only 1/3 occupied […]
