“Pueblo KOA” in Pueblo, Colorado - was rated: 4

It is a typical KOA. Not much for too much money. I had the miss fortune to have to stay there for 27 days due to work requirements. It was a convenient location for me but the roads had deep ruts and bad flooding every time it rained a little bit. They would not give […]

“Valley RV Park” in Buena Vista, Colorado - was rated: 9

We enjoyed a nice site in the rear of campground overlooking the Arkansas River Valley. The sites are long and well spaced with good power and water pressure. We found the owners, Sandra and Don to be very friendly and helpful as well as the rest of the staff. Good walking trails […]

“Lake Shawnee Campgrounds” in Topeka, Kansas - was rated: 8

This is a city park extraordinaire. The campground is lovely and quiet and right on the lake. The only minus, and the reason for a 8 and not 10, is that there aren’t sewer hookups. Also, the sites are close together which is only an issue if the campground is full. […]

“Timberline RV Park” in Concrete, Washington - was rated: 9

We were headed to another campground and found this one. There are large fir and cedar trees providing shady sites for all with a breeze. The sites are very large and leveling was not a problem. The park is kept clean and there is a trail (used to be rails) a block […]

“Bighorn Park” in Coaldale, Colorado - was rated: 9

Park is in a peaceful setting with large meadows across US 50 and the Arkansas River on the other side. Good gravel interior roads and but can be little dusty if wind is blowing the wrong way. Good spacing between sites. You can walk down to the river from several locations and […]

“Alpine RV Park” in Marblemount, Washington - was rated: 9

There was plenty room and the sites were fairly level with grass. There was a path for walking the dogs that went out to a not busy road, so we could take them on long walks at the campground. They advertised that they had Wi-Fi but it was down. We would stay […]

“Franklin RV Park & Campground” in Franklin, North Carolina - was rated: 1

This campground has no pool, playground, camp store, propane or laundry. Not a good place for children or pets. We camped here with a dog, he was full of ticks, (we had ticks in our motorhome) We were in a back in site in red mulch. I’m still cleaning that red mulch […]

“Freedom Shores Marina (Formerly Galloway’s Marina)” in Trinity, Texas - was rated: 8

There is a nice lake view, and the prevailing SE wind gives good breeze off the lake. There are plenty of trees. Sites include a concrete pad for chairs, tables, etc.The interior roads are gravel. It may be tight for large MH’s & 5th wheelers but several large rigs seemed to have made it ok.

“Sparrow Pond Family Campground” in Waterford, Pennsylvania - was rated: 8

Nice campground. It was too cool and rain to use the pool but it looked very nice. The park was easy to navigate and I was able to back into my site with no trouble. They had a nice store and all staff were very friendly. I would have rated it […]
