“Mohican State Park” in Loudonville, Ohio - was rated: 5

This campground is very popular and usually booked out. We had stayed there several times before and liked it very much. But the last time we stayed there in June of 2008, after a typical(!) summer rain, many of the spaces were flooded. Come to find out that not only the non-reserveable […]

“Crabtree RV Park” in Alma, Arkansas - was rated: 5

This is a funny little park, just a gravel parking lot with RV hookups in the middle of an RV dealers lot. It is right off I-40, but the lot full of huge RV’s for sale seemed to deaden the noise somewhat. The manager was extremely nice, volunteering the procedure for tornado alerts, […]

“Kluane RV Kampground” in Haines Junction, Yukon - was rated: 3

The views of the mountains are fantastic, but it is no more than a big gravel lot with full hookup sites that are not the most level. The people who run it have no idea what they are doing as far as placing big rigs in tight spots and smaller trailers in the larger […]

“Huntington Beach State Park” in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina - was rated: 5

This was once a wonderful campground but it has gone downhill aver the last couple of years. Trash dumpsters were difficult to use and some people were putting their trash on the ground beside the dumpster. Dog poop was on the beach and on the boardwalk to the beach. Kids were riding […]

“Hotel Carmacks and RV Park” in Carmacks, Yukon - was rated: 7

A little park with full hookups behind a motel right on the Yukon River. Unlike previous review we had no trouble with the management. There is no cable nor Wi-Fi and the roads are full of potholes. There are only 5 pull-thru sites and 3 of them were filled for the night. […]

“Whispering Willows Campground” in Stewart Crossing, Yukon - was rated: 3

This is a nothing park with only 15amp power and no sewer connections, but is also the only park in the area for visiting Mayo and Keno unless you drive up to Mayo. It is no more than a field with grass and gravel where you pick your own spot. It is an […]

“Augie’s Quail Trail RV Park” in Gila Bend, Arizona - was rated: 6

Very large pull thru sites. Desert type vegetation landscaping. No shade on any sites. Approximately 1 mile off the interstate which makes for very peaceful and quiet nights. Could not get a WIFI connection from my site. There is no cable TV or TV signal via antenna. The clubhouse […]
