“Janes Island State Park” in Crisfield, Maryland - was rated: 7

This would be a 9 if it were not for the mosquitoes. Tons of wildlife to see, boating, and have fun crabbing on the Daugherty Creek Canal. The office/store doesn’t stock too much foodstuffs (Crisfield is only two miles down the road) but it does have fishing supplies, rent kayaks and canoes, and […]

“Osage Prairie RV Park” in Nevada, Missouri - was rated: 8

It is on the access road of highway 71,though don’t hear much noise. They have these cute western buildings, a small lovely landscaped swimming pool. We stayed the night of the new owner’s first day of ownership and they are just darling, having been RVer’s for many years and finding just the right […]

“Poole Knobs Campground (COE)” in La Vergne, Tennessee - was rated: 8

If you have a boat it’s great, cooler than town and much shade. Very difficult to get satellite reception if that is your thing. Very clean and safe. No WIFI, except in town at the library. About a 45 min drive to Franklin or Nashville or the GOOP.

“Castlewood Municipal Campground” in Castlewood, South Dakota - was rated: 10

I would like to suggest a great little municipal campground that is really almost a secret. Located in Castlewood SD; 8 sites 60 feet long with 50 amp electricity; water and dump station nearby. $13 per night - reservations can be made (but not necessary) with the city office M-F (closed Wed.) 9-5. […]

“Island Acre’s State Park” in Grand Junction, Colorado - was rated: 9

We loved this state park. The park rangers were very nice and helpful. Though there’s not a pool, there is a “swimmin” hole which is actually more like a pond. There’s also a trout area for fishing and license can be bought as you enter the park. We hiked beside the […]

“Worlds of Fun Village” in Kansas City, Missouri - was rated: 8

This is a wonderful RV park if you have a family. The swimming pool has lifeguards that monitor both the pool and hot tub. Their water park and amusement park are both easily accessible. It is NOT the place for privacy but amid the parks and traffic, it is quiet.

“Lake Huron Campground” in Port Sanilac, Michigan - was rated: 1

Overpriced and underdelivered. They used to deliver Pizza and firewood, pickup trash, now they raised prices and took away the nice parts of the stay. Had a very noisy night and no one did anything to quiet them down.

“Martin Lake Resort” in Ocean Springs, Mississippi - was rated: 6

This could be a very nice campground if it were managed right. Too many full time residents with all their stuff stashed outside the trailer makes the place look trashy. The roads are narrow and the sites short, but it was roomy enough for our 32 ft fiver and (barely) our truck. […]
