“Tuck in the Wood Campground” in St. Helena, South Carolina - was rated: 9

We chose this campground because the one recommended to us, Hunting Island, was full. We think we got lucky. Our principal focus for this visit was the Beaufort area, and this campground is 16 miles closer than the Hunting Island site is. It was relatively easy to get to, if you do some careful route […]

“Fort Wilcox RV Park” in Willcox, Arizona - was rated: 10

Fort Wilcox RV Park is an awesome park. This place sits off the highway and it is the nicest, well maintained park I’ve been in. Its very clean and quiet. The trains that go by are very soothing.. The other tenants who live there are very nice and friendly! The […]

“Sunset Shores” in Willis, Texas - was rated: 10

We LOVE this park. Right on the shores of Lake Conroe, with beautiful trees. Nice swimming pool; boat launch area. If you stay a month in one of the lake shore sites, gets kinda pricey. But, well worth it; this place is GORGEOUS.

“Country Hills RV Park” in Beaumont, California - was rated: 8

This was a decent little park. GPS couldn’t find it though and took us to the middle of a residential area. We weren’t too far off the beaten path though as it turned out. The campground is at the end of the road so just keep going. It is a secure park - nobody getting […]

“Ramblin Rec” in Hondo, Texas - was rated: 4

RV park is only 6-8 blocks from the railroad tracks which run constantly. It is not as bad as the couple parks that are a stone’s throw from the tracks but you can still hear them. Manager is friendly and helpful. Most of the park is occupied by folks working in the […]

“Bald Ridge Creek Campground (COE)” in Cumming, Georgia - was rated: 4

All in all, this was a nice park. Our chief complaints were that the wash house near our site had neither heat nor hot water (the daytime temps were in the 50s, cold enough to make a person forget what they went into the wash house for in the first place). In addition, […]

“Pensacola RV Park” in Pensacola, Florida - was rated: 10

From the moment we arrived, the owners and attendants were courteous and accommodating. The grounds and facilities are clean and well kept. The owners take pride in their new park and will address disturbances quickly. During the last two weeks of March, 2009, we didn’t see any loud vehicles or free ranging […]

“Owl’s Roost Campground” in Goodlettsville, Tennessee - was rated: 1

It reminds one of the poor section in Bombay, India. I would drive further, and I did, to find something else. They should name it “Rats nest”.
