“Pontchartrain Landing (Formerly New Orleans RV Campground)” in New Orleans, Louisiana - was rated: 9

This is a new and constantly improving park. The staff was FABULOUS. They were more than accommodating and helpful. Came to our site to help us get around New Orleans, give us suggestions of where to go / places to see. Shuttle bus service 3 times a day which saved us […]

“5 Star RV Park” in Tyler, Texas - was rated: 10

5 Star RV Park has a warm, family atmosphere that begins with the managment. The grounds and bathhouse are well kept, there is a new wi-fi system and cable that work great. There is a lovely walking trail and a pond on the grounds.

“Crooked Creek Recreational Area” in Ville Platte, Louisiana - was rated: 9

Very nice park, in a country setting. Run by local parish government. Very full of locals on the weekends. Golf carts everywhere, but safe. Blacktop roads and paved sites. Nice distance between sites. Most are just water/electric, but there are a few sites that are not on the water […]

“Cody’s Catfish Pond and RV Park” in Weeki Wachee, Florida - was rated: 8

First, I want to say that we have been workampers at Cody…s RV Park for the winter season. The owner has two or three couples who help him run the park during the winter season, some of which have been coming here for several years. That being said, the owner has encouraged me […]

“Travelers RV Park” in Kettleman City, California - was rated: 3

The references to chickens running around and to the cesspool swimming pool are bang on the money! However, last night it was our haven from the wind and we were glad to have it. We didn’t even leave the rig after we got hooked to the services (open sewer pipes-gross) so not sure about […]

“Sunset Isle RV Park / Motel” in Cedar Key, Florida - was rated: 9

This is a small Old Florida style park. No pool or big recreation hall. The rest rooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The owner (husband & wife) are very friendly and welcome all. Some evenings guests gather in the common building for music or games or tv. The wireless worked fine for us […]

“Bennett Springs State Park” in Lebanon, Missouri - was rated: 6

We enjoyed a peaceful if not wet long weekend at Bennett Springs. The park was much larger than I thought it would be. We camped in loop number 1 in site 124. We made our reservations online and really thought the website indicated water would be on March 1. Although water in the campground was […]

“Arrow Rock State Historic Site” in Arrow Rock, Missouri - was rated: 7

We took advantage of some nice weather and must have started our camping season a little early. There were only two campers in the entire campground. The water had not been turned on yet, but we came prepared for that. I thought the campground was well laid out. Being located close to the town of […]
