“Longstreet Hotal Casino & RV Resort” in Amargosa Valley, Nevada - was rated: 4

We stopped her one night on our way through southern Nevada. The RV park is a large gravel parking lot behind the casino. Clean, level sites with full hookups. However, cable was not working while we were there. There are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a great place to take the dog […]

“Saddle Mountain RV Park” in Tonopah, Arizona - was rated: 8

A nice park, far enough off the freeway to be quiet. Interior roads are paved and each site has a concrete patio, however our site (gravel) was so out of level we had a very frustrating time trying to get our 5th wheel level. You’d think the park would maintain their sites by keeping them […]

“Pima County Fairgrounds” in Tucson, Arizona - was rated: 3

We stayed here two nights over a weekend while we visited friends in the south Tucson area. Parking here was a pleasant experience for us as there were no events going on this weekend, therefore I’m giving a 3 rating. However, if there are any kinds of events going on, particularly drag racing, this has […]

“Palmetto State Park” in Gonzales, Texas - was rated: 8

This is what a state park should be; tree covered, quiet, nice pads, and plenty of hiking trails. Sites are large and have a pad with picnic table, a fire pit, and separate barbecue. Electric and water only at the sites with a dump station, no cable or WiFi; just the noise from crows and […]

“Casey Jones RV Park” in Lake City, Florida - was rated: 5

This is the Good Sam rate. Rather narrow pull-through sites. Sandy ground around motorhome. We stayed here only for one night. OK for the price, but there is nothing to charm one to stay longer. A good overnight stop on the road south.

“Dove’s Rest RV Campground” in Marianna, Florida - was rated: 6

t has a very friendly owner/manager. They loaned us a battery charger for our car. Flat level grassy sites with good pull-through. We tried the owner’s recommendation of a restaurant across the street - Cornerstone. We were well pleased and it was good value. We would stay here again.

“Bourquin’s RV Park & Restaurant” in Colby, Kansas - was rated: 6

Second time we have stayed here. Park is very basic, owners are very friendly. They were re-grading the sites when we were there, so it was very muddy. Nothing fancy but a good place to stay overnight.
