“Yucaipa Regional Park” in Yucaipa, California - was rated: 9

Great campground, well spaced sites with lots of grass in between. Concrete pads next to the RV pad. Water Park is seasonal, fishing lakes are year round. About 15 minutes to apple orchards. Nearby shopping with new centers going up close to the Regional Park. We will go back.
Original post […]

“Santa Nella RV Park” in Gustine, California - was rated: 8

Like someone mentioned, the sites are short, so you park kitty-wampus across two of them, but for us in a 26′ trailer it was no big deal. At the time we had a half-ton pickup and a 1-ton van — there was room to park both of those AND the trailer in the spot. […]

“Millerton Lake State Recreaton Area” in Fresno, California - was rated: 8

Nice park in a very nice setting — except I need wi-fi for my work and the closest was 45 minutes away. 15 minutes of that is getting from the turn-off into the park back to the RV camping area — it seems to take forever! The coyotes howling at night and the zillions […]

“Town Edge Restaurant & RV Park” in New Glarus, Wisconsin - was rated: 3

This park survives solely as a safe, quiet place to park an RV for as many nights you need to explore the beautiful surrounding area. Resting on the outskirts of the American-Swiss community of New Glarus you’ll find the park in close proximity to a great deal of south-central Wisconsin’s natural and cultural attractions. […]

“Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge - Camp Doris” in Indiahoma, Oklahoma - was rated: 8

This place was very crowded for winter camping. We are glad we showed up in time to get one of the last 2 electric sites to help run the heater. There are very friendly folks in this campground. It is rustic with decent spacing between sites and lots to see in the […]

“Emma Long Metropolitan Park” in Austin, Texas - was rated: 5

The nightly rate does not include a one-time $5 entry fee which we only had to pay once for 3 days. This campground is very convenient for visiting some friends in town, and would make a good place to generally visit Austin. However, while there are an absolute ton of non-electric tent sites, there were […]

“Abilene State Park” in Tuscola, Texas - was rated: 9

We only stayed here one night, but it was a very nice campground, with lots of space and trees between sites and relatively convenient to town if you need provisions. There were deer and raccoons around the place. Their late check-in procedure was a little confusing, and we didn’t use the “wagon wheel” but instead […]

“Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park” in Garberville, California - was rated: 6

Rate given is with Passport America discount. Our site was #14 and fairly level; better than some others we have had here in the past. Several power bumps caused us some concern. We switched the fridge over to propane just in case. The laundry did a good job on our clothes, but someone could have […]

“Port of Siuslaw Campground” in Florence, Oregon - was rated: 7

Location close to Old Town Florence. Shared hookups. My electric was 20 amps, but adjacent site sharing electric box had 30 amps. Manager said it was okay to use the 30 amps if no one occupied that site. WI-FI must be new as manager said it was a secure site and […]

“Blue Heron Paradise RV Resort” in Guntersville, Alabama - was rated: 7

The manager of the park was wonderful. This is a park that sells deeded lots. The developer was not nice and actually rude. The park is new but will need much work in the future due to the developer’s inability to design the park efficiently. The run-off drains were in the […]
