“Paris Mountain State Park” in Greenville, South Carolina - was rated: 9

Small campground. Large sites giving a feeling of privacy. Some sites are a bit uneven. Very quiet, and enjoyed our stay. Restrooms were clean and easily accessible. Will stay again.

“Wildwood State Park” in Wading River, New York - was rated: 8

For a state park, Wildwood is great. Its biggest drawback is that they do not allow animals. If you plan to camp there make sure you bring a fire ring of sorts. They do not supply them. The walk down to the sound is very nice and the sunsets can’t be […]

“Crazy Horse RV Park” in Tucson, Arizona - was rated: 5

If you’re looking for amenities, this isn’t it. Only w/e sites were available when we called, but that was OK for us. These sites are in ‘overflow’, which doubles as the dog walk area. This is OK except for a couple humans that didn’t pick up after their pets. FHU sites […]

“Winding River RV Resort” in Grand Lake, Colorado - was rated: 7

We stayed here 4 days. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Liked the proximity to Rocky Mountain Park and the town of Grand Lake. The park is large and it feels spread out. The only bad thing is the huge amount of beetle killed trees. The view is 50/50 brown […]

“Glenwood Canyon Resort” in Glenwood Springs, Colorado - was rated: 7

We camped here for a week. Loved the on site raft trips. Sites were average size and easy to back in to. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only drawback was the trains that go by every couple of hours. We will camp here again.

“Little Ponderosa Campground” in Boothbay, Maine - was rated: 9

Stayed here for three nights while enroute to Bar Harbor. Very wooded with pine trees and well kept sites. Staff was very polite and maintained a well stocked store. We had a site on the tidal inlet, and it ended up being no more than a muddy stream (on the backside). […]

“Smuggler’s Den Campground” in Southwest Harbor, Maine - was rated: 9

Stayed here for a week and had a great time. Our site was premium with the cement pad and patio. We were located right across from the store and pool, on a corner site, and although busy it was still relaxing. Store had the bus/shuttle stop, but on the flip side, it […]

“Bissell’s Hideaway” in Ridgeville, Ontario - was rated: 8

While visiting the Falls we stayed here. The sites were close together, however, checking out other campgrounds, they all looked about the same. This park has a water park that’s a ‘10′. It’s a real cement lake that was very enjoyable and well maintained. There is also a water slide and […]

“Braunig Lake RV Resort” in San Antonio, Texas - was rated: 10

This campground is very easy access from I-37, and a great stop on the way to the Rio Grande Valley. The office staff was very friendly and helpful when making our reservation, as well as when we arrived. We had a premium site,#L18, which was very level. We had a cement pad […]
