practice makes Stupid

I wonder how many of you came to the decision about your RV ( or lack of one) ?  In our case, we had a pop-up that cratered.  We then went on a few trips where we rented various units.  Mostly class C and class A Motor homes.  There were some pop-ups, semi-popups, and Tow-behind […]

“Meadowlark RV Park” in Alvin, Texas - was rated: 9

A nice small quiet campground a couple of miles off of Hwy. 35 in Alvin. Very good Wi-Fi signal and good cable, friendly owners, no bathrooms, showers or laundry. If we’re around Alvin again, we’ll stay there again.

“Frog City Rv Park” in Duson, Louisiana - was rated: 2

The campground advertises Wi-Fi at the site. We were in site #1, and the Wi-Fi signal was very weak, and dropped off often. Also it worked for only 1 computer. My handicapped son travels with us, and he enjoys talking with his aunt and brother on the computer, so Wi-Fi is very […]

“Santa Maria Pines RV Park” in Santa Maria, California - was rated: 8

Santa Maria Pines is nice as a home base for a night or three. It…s convenient to town, the highway and lots of nearby activities. Not much to brag or complain about except maybe the huge speed bumps in the driveway. Go Kart track next door closed at a reasonable hour so […]

Park is the old city airport with campsites on both sides of the runway with 300′ fishing pier at end of runway. Great park for fishing and close to everything in that area. Easy access, close to restaurants, groceries, Wal-Mart and just the right distance from Corpus Christi.

“Cajun RV Park” in Biloxi, Mississippi - was rated: 9

We talked to the security guard at the park and he told us that FEMA had rented the entire park and that FEMA RV’S would probably be moving out by the summer 2008 or early winter 2008 for snowbird season, Overall the park looked great considering hurricane Katrina ravaged the entire place. Some workers […]

“Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort” in Las Vegas, Nevada - was rated: 4

The office, pool area, and cafe are spectacular. The electricity was solid and the water pressure was about 55psi. We paid extra for wireless broadband, which worked moderately well. The signal strength is not very high and occasionally the system would not respond for a short time. This is a VERY […]
