“Gold Brook Campground” in Stowe, Vermont - was rated: 7

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the area around Stowe. Beautifully maintained. Central hook ups for two sites means you have some one right beside you with their slides almost touching yours. The sites are big though. The sites numbers are not marked well so […]

“Lake Wapello State Park” in Drakesville, Iowa - was rated: 9

Very nice park with a lot of the sites having at least a partial lake view. The roads were wide enough to accommodate larger RV’s. The sites are somewhat terraced and seem to become more level farther from the shoreline. Although there was no water on site, the spigots appeared to be […]

“Castle Rock Campground” in Castle Rock, Colorado - was rated: 10

Great customer service. It was between 3 and 29 degrees the whole time, so we needed propane almost everyday. They filled the tanks every time we needed. Learned a lot about cold camping. Will definitely camp here again.

“Amarillo KOA” in Amarillo, Texas - was rated: 2

Over priced compared to other 10 KOA campgrounds I have stayed at which averaged 27$. Forced to pay for 5 gallons propane when only needed 2.5 and was mis-led by attendant who stated “you probably wont need to get 5 gallons” at time of fill. De-meaning attitudes. Will not camp hear again […]

“Fort Welikit Family Campground” in Custer, South Dakota - was rated: 9

Free WiFi, 50 amp hookups, water, sewer, cable TV and $30/night. We found our spot high on the hill among the trees. This is a very neat campground … old time and very comfortable. Very woodsy. We stayed here while we toured all of the area. Lots of deer […]

“Caldwell Camp Ground” in Caldwell, Idaho - was rated: 8

Stayed one night so I didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities. There is a nice lake on-site for swimming and fishing, plus hiking trails. Park was clean. The sites are average, gravel slots with grass beside. Good value, I would stay here again.

“Trailer Inns RV Parks” in Yakima, Washington - was rated: 8

Stayed one night. Park was clean and quiet. A very strong lemony smell was very evident, which the campground staff informed me was the nearby hops processing plant. Didn’t use the indoor pool, but it looked nice. I would stay here again.
