“Westmoreland State Park” in Montross, Virginia - was rated: 10

The park was beautiful and very clean. The park rangers were great with the kids. The beach was great and lots of room to play with the kids. They also have a great playground.

“Van Wert County Fairgrounds” in Van Wert, Ohio - was rated: 7

Side by side electric and water. Very quiet at night. Have to pay extra for Wi-Fi. Nice little place, but won’t want to be here during the state fair.

“Kamp Komfort RV Park & Campground” in Carlock, Illinois - was rated: 1

$13.00 for 30 amp, water, sewer with Passport America. Very skinny road to campground. We were in site #6. Right next to I-74, bring ear plugs. On the other side is train tracks. Water was undrinkable. Hadn’t passed some test. Notice on the front door. Side by […]

Scrappers - and SCRAPPERS

Hi Everyone:    Well, our family is learning the new meaning of being Scrappers.  If you read my blog last week, you probably sensed a feeling of shock, maybe fear, and certainly anger.    Not exactly the stuff of a cheerful web site about enjoying the great outdoors.  I know.  I'm sorry. I just really wanted to […]

“Puerto Del Sol RV Park” in Corpus Christi, Texas - was rated: 4

Camped here in a travel trailer - overall not a well maintained site but close to tons of stuff to see and do. We were unfortunate enough to have someone in our reserved spot when we arrived, no mgr on site and no one answered emergency phone number left. Luckily another oceanfront spot […]

“Circle Bar RV Park” in Ozona, Texas - was rated: 2

If you can’t find anywhere else to stay and don’t want to keep driving, it’d be a safe place to spend the night. However, if you have another option, I say take it. Half the sites were “blacked out” on their map which meant we had a much smaller selection of sites than advertised. […]

“Grand Canyon Railway RV Park” in Williams, Arizona - was rated: 9

This is a new park, opened early 2007. The roads and pads are paved with rock in between sites. There is a playground for kids. There is also a pet “hotel” to leave the fur kids while riding the train. I went in and it was very clean, but did not […]

“Sandy Heights RV Resort” in Pasco, Washington - was rated: 8

I am giving this park an eight due to change in management . It would get a nine if it wasn’t for the traffic noise. We stayed 3+ months due to an off-site job, therefore we were able to “get used” to the vehicle noise both in front from freeway and in rear from […]

“Blue Spring State Park” in Orange City, Florida - was rated: 9

The park was very well maintained and the perfect place to “get away” yet still be near grocery stores and shopping. We stayed in site #3 which had partial shade and was just far enough into the loop to be away from the dumpster yet not too far in to be affected by family […]
