“Natural Falls State Park” in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma - was rated: 8

Great out of the way park. Only about a quarter mile off highway 412. All sites are level, paved, with cement pads. Only about 10 sites are full hook ups with sewer. Remaining sites have electric and water hook ups. Very clean campground. No swimming facilities, but there is […]

“Gunsmoke Trav-L-Park” in Dodge City, Kansas - was rated: 9

We stayed here overnight on our way across Kansas. Clean, cheerful bathrooms, easy to navigate, at least in the back section. Didn’t notice any highway noise, just a couple of trains, but they didn’t wake us up. Friendly owners/managers (not sure which) and sufficient office hours for late check ins. Close […]

“Madison KOA” in De Forest, Wisconsin - was rated: 8

A few big rig sites but call ahead to insure a large site with good access. Large entry driveway for good travel pattern. Entire park in a wagon wheel form similar to a drive-in theater. Friendly, helpful new owners. Some sites could use more rock and are soft after a rain. […]

“Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground” in Chattanooga, Tennessee - was rated: 8

Do not believe older reviews about permanent residents in run down trailers. There are none. The park appears to be undergoing renovations. They are fixing up the bathrooms and it looks like they are working on the swimming pool. This has the potential to be an even better campground in the […]

“Dakota Ridge RV Park” in Golden, Colorado - was rated: 7

Overall this is a decent, albeit somewhat over-priced campground. You pay a premium for the proximity to Denver. Roads are narrow and sites are a bit cramped. Concrete pads are not level and are too narrow. If noise bothers you, then beware. The biker bar across the street is unbelievably […]

“Dakota Ridge RV Park” in Golden, Colorado - was rated: 8

Nicely landscaped clean campground backed up to the mountains. Grass, picnic table and tree at all sites. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Level concrete pads with sewer hookups. Propane available on site. Nice clubhouse. Dog walk area was small and muddy. We were used to paying a lot […]

“O’Leno State Park” in High Springs, Florida - was rated: 8

This is nice park. The Ranger who checked us in was not friendly. Other Rangers we encountered, though, were friendly. We had site 31 in the Magnolia loop. Nice site. Deer came around our site morning and evening. The only complaint would be how often the park rangers drive […]

“Lookout Mountain KOA” in Trenton, Georgia - was rated: 8

We stayed here overnite on our way to North Carolina. It is a little bit off the beaten path. Sites are somewhat hilly but good size. The bath rooms and showers are clean and maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

“Arizona Sun RV Park” in Quartzsite, Arizona - was rated: 7

Clean park, friendly staff, seasonal rates, and mail service available. Quiet park with lots of group activities during the winter season. Only 7 pull throughs. Nice laundry facility, library and bathrooms. Full hookups. Wifi available through outside company, only worked until the park filled. (Then we were told the […]
