“Quaker Woods Campground” in Quakertown, Pennsylvania - was rated: 3

Sort of OK. Nice place and beautiful. No cable, wi-fi or anything interesting and too far from Philly to commute on a daily basis. The management doesn’t do much in the winter, seem to be gone to Florida or something, but on the other hand don’t bother you either.

“Ramblin’ Pines Campground” in Woodbine, Maryland - was rated: 1

First of all, the facilities, the laundry room are all at least adequate, the park is clean and neat and well-taken care of and nice with a lot of trees. The lots are nicely sized and one of the better ones I have seen. The background is nice with forest behind it and […]

“Zion Canyon Campground” in Springdale, Utah - was rated: 1

We stayed here for 9 nights. Nice location, somewhat small sites and cramped roads. We tried to make reservations via the internet, but when we called to confirm them, we were told that they would get around to looking at them later in the day, but that there was a lot of room […]

“Leisure Lake Membership Resort” in Joliet, Illinois - was rated: 8

Sites are grass and gravel with a cement pad for the RV and picnic table. Well over half the spaces had unoccupied RVs on them. Almost all of those were well-maintained. They were big sites, although getting in to some of them with a 40-footer without driving on the grass was difficult. […]

“Canyon Trail RV Park” in Boulder City, Nevada - was rated: 8

Very nice modern, spotless campground, excellent bathrooms and laundry. Very friendly management and other campers. Paved roads, stone sites with desert landscaping with small trees at many sites. Overlooking Lake Mead. Busy on weekends with boaters so call ahead for reservations. Very close to Hoover Dam and 21 miles from […]

“Lake Catherine State Park” in Hot Springs, Arkansas - was rated: 7

Driving in to this park was interesting, but once inside, it’s beautiful, until you spot the electric plant on the opposite side of the lake. We had a waterfront spot, and when I say waterfront, I mean waterfront! The dogs had a ball chasing each other thru the mud at the edge of the […]

“Beaver’s Bend State Park” in Broken Bow, Oklahoma - was rated: 5

Camped here during spring break. We stayed in the only location that takes reservations, and had to resesrve 6 months in advance. For this lake to be so beautiful we were extremely disappointed in the filthy bathrooms and extremely unpleasant camp hosts. Camp hosts acted as though they were being inconvenienced when […]

“Homewood RV Park” in Homewood, Kansas - was rated: 8

Homewood was an excellent, small RV park right off the interstate below Ottawa, KS. The only con was the noise from the interstate at night and early in the a.m.–so much for camper insulation, but other than that the park was very clean, and very scenic. The location was very secluded and country […]

“Lake Ouachita State Park” in Mountain Pine, Arkansas - was rated: 9

This park is one of the nicest we’ve ever been to. We camped during the week of Thanksgiving. Beautiful grounds, lots of hiking, lots of children playing, very clean…just a great experience! Can’t wait to go back this summer and experience everything!

Lady Bird and the Wildflowers of Texas

Texas State Flower : Bluebonnet
When my son Mac was five or six, we were driving back from Austin to San Marcos. He asked me where all the wildflowers came from. I told him that God put all this beauty on the Earth for us to enjoy. Then I added that he had […]
