“Grandfather Mountain Campground” in Boone, North Carolina - was rated: 7

We have stayed here monthly many times. Most sites are not level and are always muddy in the winter. There are scenic views from all directions. They have a small playground and lots of room for children to run around. There are only two campgrounds in the area open year round, […]

“Vanderpool Campground” in Vilas, North Carolina - was rated: 5

We stayed here for 1 month. The price was fair. We had a nice level site with a paved patio. The laundry facilities were clean and nicer than others we have seen. This is not a campground I would recommend for families with children though. There is no playground or […]

“Coushatta Casino Resort / Red Shoes RV Resort” in Kinder, Louisiana - was rated: 2

The park was clean, after that, all was downhill. No cable t.v., only local channels with poor reception. No wi-fi,and someone stole a strap off 1 of the batterys, and believe it or not, someone stole our sewerline hose while it was hooked up! Well, I rated it as a 2 […]

“Pismo Sands RV Park” in Oceano, California - was rated: 10

I enjoyed the park very much. The staff in the office was very friendly. If making reservations, try and do it ahead though, because they are often booked. I was impressed with how friendly the girls in the office were. The bathrooms were nice and clean. One of the […]

“Riverdale Farm Campsites” in Clinton, Connecticut - was rated: 5

Decent campground but don’t forget cash or checkbook! They don’t take debit or credit cards. The ATM is a few miles away. They let me set up then go get cash. I’d stay here again

“Huntington Beach State Park” in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina - was rated: 9

We loved it. Even though we were out of season, the campground stayed pretty full the week we were there. A really great state run campground. A lot of space between camp sites. Neat & clean.

“Van Hoy Farms Family Campground” in Union Grove, North Carolina - was rated: 1

I stayed one night. I arrived after dark and had a difficult time locating my parking site. In the morning I flushed my tanks. The sewer system over flowed all over the site and my shoes!

“Feather Falls KOA” in Oroville, California - was rated: 9

We have visited several times this year and this park is continually making improvements for their customers even though it’s new. The casino is close but they also provide shuttle service door to door if you can’t or choose not to walk. They also cater to groups too.
