“Solitude Pointe (was Big Bear Lodge & RV Park)” in Cleveland, South Carolina - was rated: 9

Very small but nice. The sites are big, paved, and have nice picnic tables and even an electric light. The park is appropriately named. It is quiet and not near any stores but two great state parks are nearby. We camped with friends. One point of warning. The lodge […]

“Mill Creek Resort” in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - was rated: 6

Our site was cut into a slope, and too narrow to open the awning, but this seems to be the exception. Campfires are only allowed in above ground fire “pits” — bring your own. Far enough off the main drag to be relatively quiet, and actually had openings over Thanksgiving weekend, though overpriced, […]

“Country Oaks RV Park & Campground” in Kingsland, Georgia - was rated: 5

Not bad for a one night stop over. But I-95 is just too close and a lot of noise. Got there late and almost hit the electrical box. Very little light, and not a single reflector on any of the post or boxes. Listed as big rig access, but much over […]

“Ocala Ranch RV Park” in Ocala, Florida - was rated: 6

This RV park is very over rated. TL gave it a 9.5, 8.5, 7.5. They claim to be the best RV park in Ocala but there are many parks with lower ratings that are far superior. The heated pool is only 75 degrees at best and is only open on very warm […]

“Ray Roberts Lake State Park / Johnson Branch Unit” in Valley View, Texas - was rated: 9

Really nice park. Reservations are not slot specific so get there early on busy weekends. Most slots have lots of shade but some can be a bit small. Most pull-through slots did not have much shade. Quite a few slots will require leveling. All of this was fine for us. […]

“Kissimmee / Orlando KOA” in Kissimmee, Florida - was rated: 10

This campground was very nice. The bathrooms were extremely nice. The sites were very nice with firepits, paved patios and the deluxe sites were very nice with patio furniture, fireplaces, and swings. Excellent location. Some noise from the busy street. Staff was very nice.
