“Skyline Wilderness Park” in Napa, California - was rated: 7

This is a pleasant alternative to a conventional RV park, surrounded by oak trees in a natural setting, and close to the wine country. Full hook-up sites are available, but are close together. Bigger coaches, such as ours, are best suited to the pull-thrus, which offer electrical and water only. It’s quiet […]

“Olde Stone Village RV Park” in Mcminnville, Oregon - was rated: 7

While this is a very nice park with many amenities (and close to the Oregon wine country), we experienced the same problem here that we’ve found elsewhere. As an overnighter, (actually, we stayed 3 nights) we were slotted into a non-pull thru space between one full-timer and a resident who worked. Hence, we […]

“North Shore Campground” in Chester, California - was rated: 9

Park is in a beautiful setting — gorgeous lake and mountain views. Grounds and restrooms very clean and everything well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a premium, “lake-front” site, and moored our boats right in front of our RV. Will definitely stay here again.

“Brattleboro North KOA” in Brattleboro, Vermont - was rated: 4

OK Campground. Typical KOA. Can’t use a mat under your awning even though the ground was half mud. $1.00 a day extra charge for cable. There is no TV reception. I will try something else when in the area next time.

“Texaco Hillside RV Campground” in Ash Fork, Arizona - was rated: 3

Trash was left at each site overflowing. Had to carry our own trash can to the dumpster or it wouldn’t get emptied. Semi’s and other such vehicles were allowed to drive through the center of the campground to a plateau behind the campground to park. Near busy highway and a bit noisy. […]

“Santaland RV Park” in North Pole, Alaska - was rated: 9

Very nice, very clean campground. Good location near grocery, restaurants, fast food, etc. in North Pole. Next door to Santa’s House gift shop for all the North Pole gifts to send back home. Very friendly and helpful resident managers. If we make it back to Alaska, we will stay again.
