“Dakota Ridge RV Park” in Golden, Colorado - was rated: 2

I stayed at this park in 2002 and was very pleased and was looking forward to another stay here. Again this time, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful and I used the bath house this time which was well appointed, spacious and clean. However, this time I was given a site in the NE part of the park. The site was unlevel by 2″. There was water constantly running down the road and on to my site which caused a constant mud problem and after a winter storm, very dangerous ice. The black top pad was worn and rutted. Some one had dumped their holding tanks on the ground and it looked like no effort had been made to clean it up. I looked around and and there were other sites available that had cement pads and were level with better views. Those sites also did not have the mud/ice problems I had. WiFi cost $4.95 and cable is $2 extra. These fees are on top of the $37.50 site fee. Because of the condition of my site, the extra fees and the fact that I was stuck down in the boondocks I do no find this park acceptable any more.
