“Castle Rock Campground” in Castle Rock, Colorado - was rated: 4
I believe we arrived when the park was changing their name to Jellystone Park and were in the midst of some renovations. The staff was very friendly but not very knowledgeable. I made my reservations in January attempting to make sure we had the necessary accommodations. Several phone calls and emails later, we had our reservation. However, the two sites that I booked were more suitable for tents than motorhomes or 5th wheels. Site access was difficult with little space to spare. We shared our concerns but there was no solutions offered. They did not seem too prepared for any changes and seemed unsure how to accommodate us. They did come and trim some trees so that a slide could be opened though. Picnic tables are a miniature version of most and roads are difficult to walk as they are steep with loose gravel to most every location in the park. Maybe once the construction is complete things will improve.
