“Canyon Gateway RV Park” in Williams, Arizona - was rated: 5

We arrived for a one night stay on our way to the Grand Canyon. This park was digging out from 4 feet of snow that they had in the prior weeks. We were fortunate(?) to have a period of somewhat warm temps, which caused the dirt gravel roads and RV sites to be very muddy and messy. The clay in the soil was extremely difficult to get off of your feet and this made a mess inside our RV. I would guess that this same situation could exist in the Summer after a rain. There was not a designated dog walk location however as most, we carry a bad for clean-up. The cable TV service was marginal at best. The park has an arrangement with the adjoining gas station to give a 10 cent discount on gas purchases. You have to check into the park first to receive this discount. This is a good thing, IF you need fuel, because the stations in Williams all were charging about 50-75 cents more per gallon that any of the other surrounding cities. I would consider stay at this park again, if the weather was good. I would avoid it if rain or snow melt is expected.
