“Boomtown Hotel-Casino RV Park” in Verdi, Nevada - was rated: 9

We were pleasantly surprised by this park. It’s well-laid out and the staff is the most helpful and friendly in the state. They have a shuttle bus that comes into the park about every 15 or 20 minutes to pick up passengers headed for the casino or the new Cabela’s super-store (which is just a couple of minutes away). Late at night, if you’re whooping it up at the casino and miss the shuttle, all you have to do is go to the valet parking office and Boomtown’s security will make sure you get back to your RV space. We didn’t use the pool or spa, but they looked inviting. The laundry room is wonderful (for some strange reason, I’m a laundry room connoisseur). There’s 4 or 5 washers, 4 or five dryers and plenty of coffee ($), Danish ($), TV and reading material. Fairly well stocked store too. It’s close to Reno, about 9 miles and only about 20-30 minutes up into the pines toward Truckee and Lake Tahoe. My only personal drawback is that the park is so big, I couldn’t walk my two elderly babies to the dog walk. We cleaned up after them after they used the outskirts of the park. Great place!
