Park has re-opened since Katrina. Sites are very nice, lot of space around all sites. All sites are close to the swamp. The park has a boat ramp for its visitors. Some road noise from Hwy 90 Bus. Playground equipment for kids. Nice wave pool (Entry $8). 14 day max stay. About 10 miles to an almost free ferry ($1 a car) in Westwego that will take you to New Orleans.
