“Bar Harbor KOA” in Bar Harbor, Maine - was rated: 9
This was our first trip to Bar Harbor and we absolutely loved it. We could not have selected a better campground. Our site was on the beach and we had absolutely breathtaking views of the sunset every night. We do not have children, but there were many activities for the children to participate in. Full-hook up is not available on the waterfront sites, but there is a “honey-wagon” that will come and empty your tanks. This KOA does not have a pool at it’s location, but you can use the pool at the sister KOA down the road. The winds picked up in the evenings for an hour or so, but after the sunset the winds calmed down and it was quite pleasant being outside. All of the campers were very friendly and we enjoyed taking walks around the campground and talking with our fellow campers. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. This campground is definitely on the expensive side, but very well worth it.
